Charity Walk to support child burn victims on the St. James Way

Every year in Germany more than 30.000 children with scald or burn injuries require medical treatment. The “Paulinchen e.V. Initiative for Young Burn Survivors” advises families with children who have suffered burn and scald accidents, to help with problems in the rehabilitation period, and to point out the causes of accidents by way of prevention. The professional Firefighter Michael Weiner wants to get focus on this subject with this charity walk and collect donation for Paulinchen e.V..

Michael is going to walk 880 Kilometer (546 miles) on the St. James Way in France and Spain. As he wants get attention on this subject he is going to wear a full firefighter outfit on his hike. This includes approximate extra weight of 25kg, including his turn-out gear, helmet and a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).

100% of the donation will go to Paulinchen e.V. as all costs of this trip will paid out of pocket and Michael took his annual vaction for this charity walk.

The start will be on 23. March in Saint Jean Pied the Port.
